About Our Movement
GIFT-A-TEACHER with L.I.F.E. and TRANSFORM–A-NATION movement aims to contribute to the crafting of our country’s future by gifting all the Filipino teachers with Leadership in Filipino Education (L.I.F.E.) within 5-years.
L.I.F.E. is an experiential initial self-discovery and transformation workshop for teachers that reaches deeply into their true Filipino essence: the inherent good and positive qualities that is their heritage and results in success for themselves and consequently for their students.
Terminal Objectives of L.I.F.E.
1. To go through an experiential journey of initial self-discovery and transformation into a life that truly reflects the Filipino teachers’ inherent good and positive attributes that results in success of the teachers and consequently their students.
2. To affirm positive Filipino paradigms that will support the Filipino greatness, inspired by the example of Dr. Rizal, thus deepening one’s commitment to Nation building.
3. To acquire the skill of Appreciative Inquiry, a positive change methodology used throughout the workshop that can complement existing teaching skills and teachers’ role in nation building.

TEACHERS, by nature of their work are hardly ever on the receiving end. As formators of the youth, the teacher's main satisfaction is to see their students excel. Full of hope and faith that their students grow to live exemplary lives, they dedicate themselves to this mission despite overwhelming odds:
• The alarming rise of poverty affecting all areas of society including our public school system, thus, the declining quality of education.
• The increasing threat to the institution of the family as more parents leave their children to work abroad.
• The distortion of values system of our youth due to the materialistic aspect of globalization.
It seems that we are facing a dim future. But, it need not be so. There is time to change the tide by gifting the teachers with a 2-day LEADERSHIP IN FILIPINO EDUCATION (L.I.F.E.) workshop to initiate the transformation process in the teachers’ lives.
There are about 555,000 public and private school teachers who are our possible partners. Imagine all these transformed teachers creating a significant impact on the future of our children. About 20 million students learn under these teachers in a given year, year after year for a total of at least 15 years.
When the future of our children is at stake, we can no longer remain passive.
All it takes is PhP 1,500 or US$ 35.00 to enroll one teacher in the 2-day L.I.F.E. workshop. However, any amount donated will go a long way. Some of us have begun to take action.
To date about 5,000 teachers have experienced the life transforming L.I.F.E. workshop because of the action taken by various institutions, schools, groups and individuals. You too can take action now!
L. I. F. E.
 The Leadership in Filipino Education (L.I.F.E.) is an experiential program designed for leaders in the private and public sectors: the school teachers, corporate, government and LGU employees, the armed forces, NGO’s and religious groups.
Because they are the front liners in the society, their values, paradigms, attitudes and behaviors are examples which both reflect and set the social and cultural environment of our country.
The Dakilang Lahi Module, as the backbone of the L.I.F.E. workshop, is a nationalistic approach to self-discovery and transformation that would enable the participants to look deeply into SELF and answer the question, “As a Filipino, what is my highest good? What is my country asking of me?”
They will experience the collective power in transforming themselves and the nation which they serve. The Dakilang Lahi module through the Appreciative Inquiry (AI) process is designed to affirm the dignity and worth of the Filipino.
Topics Include
• Appreciative Inquiry (AI). The teachers will discover that they have the capabilities of responding responsibly to challenges facing them in nation building. They will become aware that their dreams of the future for themselves and of the country are within reach, and that the power to make it happen lies in their positive beliefs. They will realize that with a design for action and working together with a common mindset and a common dream that a common destiny will be achieved. The power that can be unleashed to achieve results through the Appreciative Inquiry process is positive and dynamic, a refreshing breakthrough.
• Affirmation and self-image. The interplay between paradigms, (beliefs, attitudes and behavior and their effects on results) How our perception of ourselves and others affect individual and team performance.
• Paradigm shift - understanding the sources and consequences of our belief systems. Reinforcing positive paradigms. Acquiring new and desirable paradigms.
• Personal responsibility - the key to personal power. Taking charge of your results. Ending the need to blame others or circumstances for the results we create.
• Effective Communications - verbal and non-verbal communications. The power of listening. Becoming a better communicator. Neuro-Linguistic programming.
• Positive conflict resolution - understanding the causes of conflict. Resolving conflict. Reframing past negative experiences to change how we feel about the past.
